Information on the disposal of old devices and batteries
Batteries contain valuable raw materials that, although harmful to the environment, can be recycled. Used batteries must therefore not be disposed of with normal household waste, but must be disposed of separately. Retailers are legally obliged to take back old batteries, and consumers are obligated to bring used batteries to a suitable collection point.
Batteries that require disposal can be identified by the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol printed on the packaging. The chemical name of the pollutant contained is shown below the trash can symbol:

Pb = Lead
Cd = Cadmium
Hg = Mercury
Of course, you can return the batteries you purchased from us for proper disposal. Please send a sufficiently stamped package with the keyword "Battery Disposal" to:

Note on Old Device Disposal:
SatKing GmbH takes its obligations under the ElektroG very seriously.
According to the law governing the placing on the market, return, and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG), we are required to inform private households about the handling of electrical and electronic equipment:
The ElektroG contains numerous requirements regarding the handling of electrical and electronic equipment. The most important ones are compiled here for you.
1. Separate Collection of Old Equipment
Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as old equipment. Owners of old equipment must dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old equipment, in particular, does not belong in household waste, but in special collection and return systems.
2. Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
Owners of old equipment must generally separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the old equipment before handing them over to a collection point. This does not apply if the old equipment is handed over to public waste disposal authorities and separated from other old equipment there for the purpose of preparation for reuse.
3. Options for returning old devices
Owners of old devices from private households can hand them in at collection points operated by public waste disposal authorities or at return points established by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.
4. Data Protection Notice
Old devices often contain sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and telecommunications technology devices such as computers and smartphones. In your own interest, please note that each end user is responsible for deleting the data on the old devices being disposed of.
5. Meaning of the "crossed-out wheelie bin" symbol
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol, regularly displayed on electrical and electronic equipment, indicates that the device in question must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
What does this mean for you?
Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) that you no longer wish to use must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. The waste electrical device must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste, and used batteries and accumulators must be separated from the waste electrical device if they are not enclosed within the waste electrical device and if the waste electrical device cannot be separated in accordance with Section 14 (5) Sentences 2 and 3 of the ElektroG (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act) to prepare it for reuse.
SatKing GmbH, as a distributor with a sales, storage, and shipping area for electrical and electronic devices of at least 400 m², is obligated to take back, free of charge, an old device from the end user of the same type of device that essentially performs the same functions as the new device at the point of delivery or in the immediate vicinity of the new device when handing over a new electrical or electronic device to an end user. It also takes back old devices that are no larger than 25 cm in any external dimension, free of charge, in normal household quantities, either at the retail store or in the immediate vicinity of the new device. The return of the devices is not linked to the purchase of an electrical or electronic device.
p>Which electrical and electronic devices are covered by this regulation can be found in particular in the list of devices listed in Annex 1 to the ElektroG (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act).
Note:
For devices with an edge length of more than 25 cm, the purchase of the new device may be required from a partner affiliated with the take-back system upon presentation of a corresponding receipt. For this reason, you should carry a copy of the invoice with you when disposing of the old electrical device.
Of course, you can also hand in your old electrical device directly to us on site.

Alternatively, disposal can be carried out by public waste disposal companies. There are usually numerous municipal collection points, waste disposal centers, recycling centers, etc., in your area.
Please note that you are responsible for backing up and deleting personal data, as well as trade and business secrets, on the old electrical device to be disposed of. SatKing GmbH assumes no liability for any possible data loss or misuse, or any resulting damage.
This is the only way to ensure environmentally friendly disposal.
The environment and SatKing GmbH say thank you.
