Can recordings be used as evidence or for public investigations?
In principle, recordings showing burglars can be used by the police as evidence, but this may only be given to the police or official executive powers for investigation purposes and may not be published under any circumstances. If this is done anyway, the perpetrator can plead for damage payments (source: test.de).
