A look at the serial number is enough to recognize the revision models. This can be displayed via the app if you select the device and look up the serial number known as the UID under device details.
If it has the suffix “-B” at the end, it is the newer model that requires the EVO app 2. The only technical difference is that the new model is Wi-Fi-enabled.
