What does "OTT" mean?

OTT stands for "over-the-top" and is a technology to receive video and audio content over the Internet on different devices. The service provider streams its web-based offer to an internet-capable terminal, such as the Internet. a smartphone, a tablet or a smart TV. The transmission can be linear, as in conventional television, or on-demand (VoD) happen. Internet providers are not involved in the control or distribution of content, as is the case with IPTV. They are solely responsible for the correct transmission of the data.
