What does "DPI" stand for?
DPI stands for dots per inch. The term is originally a unit of measurement for describing the density of points and resolution (in print, for example). In computer mice, on the other hand, the DPI number is a guideline for the sensitivity of the mouse. Common values are between 400 dpi and 12,000 dpi.
